Still trying to wrap my head around this play. What a roller coaster. Would you call it a net positive for Gardner? Miami would've recovered the fumble at the 40 had Gardner not made a heads-up play - so in essence he's just pushing the ball backwards, right?

This play was equally dumbfounding. Just throw the damn screen pass, Reese! What was he thinking, hucking a 20-yard pass off his back foot instead? I can't imagine the look on the coach's face after this brain fart - if you drew up a perfectly successful screen only for your QB to turn around and sling a duck into triple coverage, could anything stop you from going full Bob Knight?
