I have to admit I did some pretty major tampering here with the Capitals roster. Full disclosure: Madden won't ever put a running back at quarterback like I have this team doing, but Washington looked a little boring and I wanted to spice them up. I thought it'd be a fun experiment, a little alternative history inspired by phenomena like the Kendall Hilton game between the Broncos and Saints in 2020 - what if Denver actually won? What if the front office was crazy (or desperate) enough to commit to it?

So I swapped the Capitals starting quarterback with some young third string halfback and kept the rest of the team the same. Then worked with what I had from there to try and make a coherent story out of it.
